What is a Zoom meeting ID?

You will need a meeting ID in order to connect your Zoom meeting to JIBB in order to live share your JIBB session to Zoom.

Each Zoom meeting has a new meeting ID. When you set up a Zoom meeting, you will automatically be assigned a meeting ID and password. The meeting ID can be found via the desktop version or mobile app during or prior to the meeting.

The meeting ID can be a 10 or 11 digit number. Meetings scheduled prior to April 12, 2020 may be 9 digits long.

On a Mac or PC, the meeting ID and meeting password can be viewed during the meeting by clicking the info button in the top left corner of the meeting window as shown above.

Q. What am I actually sharing to a Zoom meeting?

You might be wondering, what will everyone else be able to see?

  • When sharing to Zoom using the app, JIBB connects to the meeting as a live whiteboard share, only displaying the content it’s capturing on your writing surface.
  • You do not need to be an existing Zoom user to be able to start sharing to Zoom with JIBB, but we do recommend you connect to the meeting via another device if you also want to see the full preview of your JIBB whiteboard at the same time as everyone else.
  • Your live camera preview will not be shared to Zoom from the app, but you can share your voice if you enable access to the microphone.
